No comment - no feedback

Simple solutions are sometimes the best ones. This is also a case when it comes to getting traffic for your blog. I don't have to remind anyone that big traffic is crucial make money online strategy. With traffic comes clicks and earnings, but there is different types of visitors, some of them bring quality, some don't.

Leaving quality comments on other people's blogs is good practice. By reading blogs with similar interests as yours, you are doing few good things. First, you learn from that content and you compare what you are doing ok and what you can improve. Secondly, you make contacts with your web social group and important connections for the future. Meaningful comments on such blogs can also get you some direct and indirect traffic, direct from those who click on your link and are interested to learn more about you, because of your opinion and indirect if someone quotes you.

Every single day I spend about 1 hour on reading blogs and making discussions. This time is INVESTMENT on several fields, learning, connecting, watching trends. I usually subscribe to RSS feed for most interesting blogs. By commenting on other blogs I make myself visible to others which brings quality feedback and positive relationships.

Fave me!

Get traffic burst blogging tip

Every blogger sometimes looses inspiration. There are days when you just can't think of anything to write about. However it is important to post as much as possible and content should be as useful as possible.

There are some tricks you can use when you need something to blog about. One tip is to search for popular subjects of that day, to explore it a little bit and write about it. One of the good places for finding such popular topics (and there are many of them out there) is Technorati Top Searches where you can find what people searched for on Technorati. Today, top searches are "writingmatrix", "ron paul", "karen dejo" and others.

From than you read specific blogs that posted about subject, explore why it is popular, which event happened and you try to write something others didn't think of. You can also link similar writings as reference. In this way, you are surfing the wave in front of others and you have good opportunity for excellent traffic burst. You can also leave interesting comments on blogs with same subject and link your blog which will bring you some new visitors.

Off course, if your blog isn't about Top Technorati Searches, don't do this every day. Try this blogging tip and let me know about results.

Make money online with WidgetBucks

New Category "Money Makers"

From today, MyHive is introducing completely new and maybe the most important category in our searching for honey quest and that category is "money makers". Another appropriate name for this category would be honey makers, but I'm not going that way because of simple reason. I don't want to confuse web spiders.
From beginning, MyHive was trying to search ways and methods which will in the end bring more traffic and good opportunities for making money online. But this is the first post when money is close at the reach of mouse button. Service that I will present here is available to anyone to try and to succeed.

Free $25 for signing

MyHive is presenting WidgetBucks, money making service that started just few days ago, but has already spread like a virus all around the Blogosphere. Many of money making bloggers have already signed up and they are making money at this moment. There are two ways to make money with WidgetBucks, by placing their widget on your blog or with their referral program. You get paid after you make $50, but big news is that you get FREE $25 just by signing! That's right, free!

Widget can be customized in size (width and height) and in color. You can choose one of many categories that is related to your blog content. One restriction is that your blog platform must support JavaScript code. Than, you place your widget on your blog and you get paid for every click from visitors on that widget. You get paid by check. Referral program is also interesting since you get paid 10% of everything your referrals earn. This is why it's very important to sign up early because you are in position to have more people who will work for themselves and for you at the same time.
It is up to you to choose both widget and referral program or just referral where you don't need any JavaScript support, but just plain old HTML. Hurry up, because in this case, time is money. Off course, share your experience with MyHive if you already signed up and started to earn some sweet honey.

Big Step Forward

After a very long time Blog.com has upgraded! This is a big step forward and if this continues this host have great potential. Just one of the reasons why I'm back to blogging. Bee is active again.

Changes are made with new templates. Now you can choose from number of good templates like this one. It would be even better if there is some 3column template. Template width is changable and also are backgrounds, colors and fonts. Video can be embed and even flash files, but I didn't managed to do this yet.

I'm very satisfied with improvements and once again bee is out there, searching for some valuable honey all over the web. Bzzzz...

Discover New Sites

Right now, StumbleUpon have 2,895,906 stumblers. This Army of people have one goal. To discover new interesting websites and blogs and to share their findings with others. The idea is to find people who have similar interests as you and then you can see what kind of blogs they stumble upon while surfing.

Internet is huge place (really?) and it is most likely that you will never see most interesting websites out there. StumbleUpon can help you with this. If you find stumbler (member of StumbleUpon) who you can trust, hes/hers votes can make you easily find good sites. Why I say this. Because there are many people out there who exchange stumbles (votes) with each other, just to increase own popularity and not because they think website is worth visiting.

On my Blogroll list in sidebar you can see StumbleUpon image. This is link to my own page on StumbleUpon where I will try to vote for interesting websites with make money online niche and others.

Bookmark that is placed below every post has shortcuts to other blog directories but to StumbleUpon also. This is how you show other good content you found while surfing the Web.

Changing History

Do you edit your older posts? You just read your post from two years ago. You realize how little experience you had back than in writing or how your goal with that blog is now different and suddenly you wish to change or delete that post or few of them. What do you do? Have you done this before and is it right thing to do?

One of key factors in deciding if you should change older posts or not is your blog popularity. If you have certain number of RSS subscribers you can assume those are your regular readers and they are very important. You shouldn't disappoint those readers and betray their trust with changing posts.

One more important thing are back links. If you have worth reading content, and you should try to write it, you probably have few valuable back links which you don't wanna lose. By changing older posts you are accepting risk to be deleted from other blogs and websites.

But, there is positive example, also. If your blog is new you are in position to experiment. Let's say you haven't found your style yet or your precious niche. Start a blog with few of them. Later, accordingly with people's response or your wishes, simply delete posts you don't like. In this way, since your blog is new, you don't lose many readers and you gain right direction and quality.

Control Your Authority

One strategy to increase your Technorati Authority is to participate in Technorati Links Exchange. They can be found easily. How it works? You "fave" authors blog, leave a comment and wait for fave back. On some places, but rarely, you can find Exchange where everyone faves everyone else. This is much efficiant. Someone called this nicely Technorati Rollercoaster, because simple Exchange is known as Technorati Train.

My strategy in last few days went to different way. I got Technorati Authority 6 in just few days. I visited blogs that have two things implemented. First is Technorati membership and second is no follow tag removed. If no follow is removed, search engine spiders are following comments links and count them in. This acts like backlink.

Now I only leave comment when I have something to say. If you just say "Hello", author may decide not to authorize your comment and you are showing that your not interested in that blog, you just want backlink. I commented only when I really have opinion on something written in blog I visited. This can bring you something even more. Almost every blog author I commented returned visit to my blog! You can see reactions from comments in my post "Technorati Authority".

Go on and try out this strategy. If you find it usefull, send your results to myhiveblog [at] gmail [dot] com and I will do a little case study. Thanks.

Bookmark Manager Widget

Blog promotion is THE most important thing for new bloggers. There are many ways you can get new visitors to your blog, but some ways are better than others.

Rising of social community websites have increased number of methods for interlinking of blogs. Very fast, "sharing" has become magic new word. More you share more you gain. You share thoughts, pictures, videos, knowledge, links to interesting blogs. Everything you value through sharing brings new dimension to that. Backlinks are not just numbers anymore, but they become valuable shared stuff.

Digg, Technorati, Del.icio.us, Reddit, Furl, StumbleUpon are just few of many sharing communities. Addthis bookmark manager binds them all in one place. Addthis is shortcut to huge numbers of sharing websites. Just put a widget on your blog and you are ready. You can even have and feed widget on your blog, for free off course. As I write this post, Addthis has made even better widget with dropdown functionality, no pop-ups.

I have added Addthis bookmark manager widget to this blog and readers (that's you !) can share my posts if they find them interesting with one click. Great! How much can bookmark widget contribute to new traffic? I don't know yet, but I suppose if blog post has quality and others keep sharing, new traffic is inevitable.

One more thing. I left comment on by accident in my last post. Thanks to all who visited and commented my blog ! Commenting for everyone will be allowed later, as I wrote earlier in "No Comments" post.

Technorati Authority

It is very important for new blog to have as many backlinks from other websites. It is also important to spread the word about your new existance in blogs directories.

What is ultimate goal for one money making wannabe blog? One of things that can bring money is Google Page Rank. There are many articles and websites about what is Google Page Rank, how it works and why is important, so I don't want to repeat something that is explained elsewhere. Bottom line is: higher Google Page Rank, more money.

First steps to high GPR is to introduce your blog to blogosphere and one directory you should not miss is Technorati. This is why I sign up with Technorati today. One more goal for new blog is to have higher authority rank on Technorati. High authority rank may lead to direct money offers on some Internet services. So, my current rank is zero (I just sign up) and I have zero fans. My task in next week will be to try to increase my authority rank on Technorati as much as I can. I will report about my efforts later.

Also I added link on my sidebar for anyone who wants to favorite me on Technorati. I will return favor 100%. You can also do it here:
